With the new Trump administration the FCC's net neutrality regulations are likely to be removed. Tom Wheeler, FCC Chair under the Obama administration is stepping down on January 20th, leaving the Commission with a Republican majority which should only grow with new Trump appointees. Current Republican commissioners opposed the net neutrality rules when they were adopted.
One of the first major directives of the new Trump Administration FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai was to throw out those net neutrality rules. Despite the majority of Americans expressing support for the rules, the Commission voted to terminate the rules in December 2017. The impact of this change has yet to be seen, although supports of net neutrality are concerned that ISPs will begin offering higher priced "fast lanes" and will block competition from access. Broadband providers argue that releasing them from the regulation will allow them to further develop and build out their networks.
